Bangsar, in its natural persona of being the premier entertainment and lifestyle township of Klang Valley have been independently growing in its own tenure where most of the businesses here include food and beverages, cafes and pubs. The shopping industry had barely touched Bangsar over many years having the sole Bangsar Shopping Centre serving the community of residents here throughout.
Located in the posh vicinity of Bangsar, Bangsar Village is a new addition to the shopping paradise of Kuala Lumpur as well as in Bangsar. It began with only one building located just opposite of Lucky Garden and within the busiest areas of Bangsar, which was down the road from Jalan Telawi 3. That was when there were limited parking space, tenants and restaurants. The first building was housed with known branded shops like FOS, DIY, Starbucks Coffee as well as a Cold Storage supermarket. Then there were also other shops like Speedy Video, a cobbler and Kenny Rogers' Roasters and some cafes all of which catered to the basic needs of the people here.
A few years later will see a further development of the second wing known as Bangsar Village II. This is where an expansion of the shopping mall was called for to extend more services to shoppers who are fast visiting Bangsar Village. More parking space was catered for with shops and retail brands demanding for space inside Bangsar Village. This would eventually be translated to more shops including Celebrity Fitness, MPH, Folio, Birkenstock, PUMA sports, G2000 and many more, all of which was aimed to provide variety and such to the avid shopper. An overhead bridge connects the two wings from one another thereby eliminating the need for you to cross the road.
The location of Bangsar Village is such that it is conveniently placed not only within Bangsar which is very near to other townships, but because of the fact that it is also surrounded by various other shops and amenities around here. You can walk out of the mall and be greeted by coffee houses and cafes scattered all over the Telawi areas. If you prefer you can also stay in within Bangsar Village to enjoy coffee at Starbucks or Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf. Otherwise, just across the street is the corner mamak shop which is widely popular for its nasi lemak and the satay.
