This is where you will be able to choose between the 2 community shopping malls here like Bangsar Village (which has since been extended into Bangsar Village II ) and the Bangsar Shopping Center or BSC in short. Both of these malls have retails shops, Cold Storage supermarkets, food outlets as well as many other things to offer. At Bangsar Village, you will be able to find a lot of shops ranging from sports to elegance, trendy to hip and many more. Bangsar Village also have an FOS store, restaurants and a Starbucks Coffee outlet.

The newly renovated Bangsar Shopping Center is the original mall here. Established some 20 years back, there are a wide variety of choices you can choose from when you are at BSC where you can frequent local favourite F&B outlets like La Bodega, and Chilly's.

One of the really good thing about Bangsar is its strategic location. This is where, if you take Jalan Maarof, will head you straight out to MidValley Mega Mall. This is one of the main malls located in the whole Kuala Lumpur. If you do not mind driving a bit further and getting stuck in a traffic jam (usually during weekends) then head out to Mid Valley where you will see a much wider choice of shopping and entertainment.

For the bargain hunters, Bangsar has its own Pasar Malam (or night markets) on Sundays in around the Telawi areas. This is where you will see the sleepy Sunday's lighting up with people shopping for food, snacks, bargain items, and many other novelties. Over in Bukit Bangsar, the Pasar Malam is held on Wednesdays while the wet market is on every morning in around Lucky Garden.
