There are a variety of outlets in bangsar ranging from small retail outlet to mega shopping complex. Bangsar Village is the biggest shopping complex located at the heart of Bangsar, where most of the activities take place. Here is where most cafes, retails and restaurants are located. Bangsar is divided into three main streets notable Jalan Telawi 1, 2 and 3. The road at the other end of Jalan Maarof would be Jalan Telawi 1, which is relatively quiet and peaceful at most times. One can find cars parked by the road side. Telawi 3 is the second busiest street with a few pubs lined up and some restaurants as well. A few hair and beauty saloons can also be found in this area. There are 2 famous Chinese restaurants in Telawi 2 and for drinks, people normally frequent the pubs like Absolute Chemistry, The Lockup and Ronnie Qs. For those interested in wine and cigars, checking in to La Bodega would be an ideal choice.

The most famous street in this area is Telawi 3, with a restaurant/pub at both ends of the road. At the tip of the slope is TSB (Telawi Street Bistro), an artistic pub which serves Italian and Western Cuisine. Right opposite this pub is Grappa’s Wine Bistro. At the bottom of the slope is a pub known as Castle, a great hangout for anyone looking for drinks at affordable prices. In between this 2 pubs one can find, among some, Bar Flams, Starbucks Coffee, Alexis Pub, San Francisco Coffee, Coffee Bean, Valentine Willie’s Art Gallery and a few banks.

Bangsar is frequented by people both in the day and in the night. The days are in total contrast of the nights. In the day, Bangsar seemed to be like any other ordinary business center, with office people patronizing the restaurants and cafes for lunch or coffee, while the nights is where life springs up and most activities take place. Happy Hours always bring the crowd starting from early evening to late nights. For some, Bangsar is a place to hang out, for others it is a sense of belonging. For some, Bangsar is place to meet friends and meet up and to others, it is the place to be. Ultimately Bangsar is a place that exudes and breathes life not only in the activities among friends and families but also into the persona to the capital of Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur.
